JBM Estate Agents is a family-owned and run estate agency based in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Peebles. Our small, but highly successful business was set up by mother and son, Myra Murray and Scott Murray back in 2010, built on the foundations of honesty, mutual trust and respect. Our winning team has been completed with the addition of family member, Greg Murray in 2020.
Although there is a multitude of estate agencies to choose from in the Scottish Borders, what we felt was lacking from many of the existing businesses was a team that handles all kinds of property sales, from country houses to town centre flats. This gives us in-depth knowledge of the whole housing market on a local level. Something not many other small and family-run businesses offer.
Another key aspect of our business that sets us apart from many of the other firms out there is the fact that we are completely independent. Being independent means, we can adapt to the market and respond instantly to the needs of our clients.
Although our expertise lies in property, we are a client and people-focused agency. As a family-run business with a real passion for helping people find the homes they want and need, utilising our collective experience, we put a lot of time and effort into each of our clients. Aside from the family members of our team, Mark McGorum joined in 2019, the team is small and close-knit. What we lack in numbers, we more than make up for in the results we achieve. The team includes Myra Murray, mother to Scott and co-founder, who is still actively involved in the business and always welcoming and friendly to our clients. Scott has a real passion for property and loves helping the various clients we deal with from one week to the next. Helping them to achieve their property goals, whatever they may be. Greg is best known for his can-do attitude and great personality. He takes care of property viewings and administration matters. While Mark brings with him 10 strong years of experience in the industry. In the couple of years that have passed since he joined, it’s been abundantly clear how much of an asset he has been to the team.
